No, Malaki does not buy in second-hand clothing.

Yes. When a pre-loved item you’ve entrusted to us sells, you receive 30% of the selling price.

A portion of all sales supports the Malaki Second Chances empowerment initiative, helping women rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence.

To help us care for each item responsibly, we ask that you separate donation items from
items you wish to sell.


For items you want to sell:

Please provide a dated list including:

• Your name and contact details, and
• For each item: colour, brand, item description, gender, and size
  
  Example: Green, Country Road, Long-sleeve shirt, Women’s, Small

Hand this list in together with your items, and keep a copy for your own records.


For donated items:

• Place donations in a separate bag clearly marked “Donation.”
  No listing is required.

To remain true to our mission and resources, Malaki is unable to provide immediate
assessments, valuations, or receipts for items dropped off.


You are welcome to:

• Donate items, clearly marked as donations, or
• Book a consultation with Sulinda (or a team member if she is unavailable) if
  you wish to bring in items for resale. She can advise what is likely to sell and may
  decline items that are not clean, neat, or in good condition.

If an item is unsuitable for resale, you may take it back or choose to donate it.
When consigning items, you will be asked to sign a brief acknowledgement of Malaki’s
consignment approach.

We unfortunately do not have the capacity to email itemised lists for donations or consignments. Your items for resale must be accompanied by your own list of items. Make sure you keep a copy.


All items are entrusted to Malaki in good faith and at the discretion of the giver.

Payments are made at the beginning of the following month, once our monthly financial reconciliation is complete.

You receive 30% of the final selling price of each item sold.

High-quality items are kept for the next appropriate season.
Malaki reserves the right to:

• Mark down prices at the end of a season, and
• Donate unsold items after two seasons to charities supporting women in need.

Pricing is thoughtfully set by Sulinda and the Malaki team, who understand item value, market relevance, and what our shoppers can reasonably afford.

For rare or special pieces, pricing will be discussed with you before acceptance.

Shoes tend to sell slowly, but we may accept them if they are clean, undamaged, and in excellent condition, based on staff assessment.

Yes - when space allows, and the items are clean, neat, unfaded, and in good condition.

We accept small household items by prior arrangement only, and only if we have space available for the item/s. Household items are accepted based on staff assessment and must be clean, functional, undamaged, and suitable for our community of shoppers.


Please check with Sulinda or a team member before you decide to deliver small household
items to the store.
